Thinking About Booking
a Reading? Start Here.
This page answers common questions about what a reading is like, what to expect, and whether this work is right for you. Astrology here is not about predicting fate, but about awareness, clarity, and understanding patterns.
If you’re new, take your time. Browse the questions below and see what resonates.
Astrology has carried a reputation of being forbidden, questionable, or associated with avodah zarah (idol worship) for generations. And you are right to ask. Caution is wise.
Astrology is permitted within Torah, but only in a very specific form.
The type of astrology that is prohibited is the kind rooted in star worship, determinism, or sorcery, the kind that replaces G-d with the planets, predicts unchangeable fate, or removes free choice. That is not what we practice here.
The lens I use is entirely Torah aligned.
We look at the stars the way Chazal (the sages,) describe them: as a map, not a master. A language built into creation to help us understand our nature, our patterns, and our potential so we can integrate all the parts of ourselves, live with more self awareness, and move toward what we are here to do.
Astrology through this lens is not about predicting the future.
It is about illumination: learning who you are, how you are wired, and how to step into your purpose.
If you would like to explore the halachic sources more deeply, the book, Kosher Astrology,(https://a.co/d/jgZwc1X) is an excellent resource that clearly outlines the difference between prohibited and permitted forms of astrology.
In a reading, I look at the map of the sky at the exact moment you were born. This map shows where every planet was positioned, and each one symbolizes a different part of your personality, emotional world, strengths, challenges, and inner wiring. We meet live over Zoom, where we explore your chart together in real time.
You may have heard of zodiac signs like “I am a Leo” or “I am a Taurus,” but that is only one tiny piece. A full chart goes much deeper. It includes your sun sign, your moon sign, and the placement of each planet, all of which express different energies within you. For example, some speak to how you think, some to how you love, some to what motivates you, and some to your deeper emotional landscape.
A chart reading weaves these pieces together so you can see yourself clearly. It helps you understand your inner world, recognize your natural gifts, and notice patterns you may not have been fully aware of. It shows where you are naturally strong, where growth is asking to happen, and what your soul is here to develop and express in this lifetime.
No. Predicting the future is not what I do, and it is not aligned with Torah. Free will is essential. You are not bound to a fate that the stars decide for you, and a chart reading is never about losing control over your life. It is about understanding yourself, not being told what will happen to you.
What we can look at, however, are upcoming planetary energies and cycles. These shifts can highlight themes or opportunities that may arise, places where growth is available, or areas that may feel more active or emotionally charged. This is not fortune telling. It is awareness. Instead of telling you what will happen, we look at the timing of energies so you can meet life consciously, make wiser choices, and recognize windows of possibility when they open.
Sometimes these cycles are subtle. Sometimes they are once in a lifetime. A reading helps you notice them, prepare for them, and move through them with clarity instead of confusion.
Short answer: no. And honestly, you would not want it to.
A chart reading is not about giving you all the answers or telling you what to do. Nobody should take that power away from you. You are the expert on your own life. The true work, the growth, the choices, those remain yours.
What astrology can do is give you information, clarity, and language for things you may have felt but could never fully name. It can help you understand patterns, motivations, strengths, blind spots, and emotional wiring. It can reveal where growth is possible, where you may be repeating old cycles, and where you are naturally gifted and ready to expand.
Astrology does not solve your problems.
It helps you solve them, from a place of understanding instead of confusion.
A reading is meaningful, but it is also a lot to take in. Insight can land slowly over time, sometimes weeks or months later. Astrology does not change your life in one moment. It gives you the awareness to change it yourself.
After our session, you will receive a written report of what we explored together. It may include your core themes, important dates or cycles ahead, and guidance on where your energy is most supported right now. You can return to it whenever you need grounding or clarity in the future.
You will not walk away with a list of answers or a fixed plan. Instead, you will walk away with a deeper understanding of yourself: why you feel what you feel, where your strengths shine, and where growth is asking to happen. You leave with language for your patterns and a clearer sense of your direction.

Absolutely not. You do not need any background or knowledge to benefit from a chart reading. Many people come in knowing only their birthday, and that is more than enough. I guide you through everything we explore, step by step, in simple language you can understand and connect to.
You do not have to memorize planets, signs, houses, or terminology. You do not need to come prepared with questions unless you want to. The session is meant to meet you where you are. Your only role is to show up with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to look inward.
My job is to translate the chart for you so you can understand yourself more clearly, without needing to learn astrology first.
You can still have a reading without your birth time.
However, the reading will be more general, because many parts of the chart are calculated using the exact time and location of birth. When that piece is missing, we lose access to certain layers of detail, which means the reading won’t go as deep or as personalized as it normally would.
You will still receive insights into your personality, strengths, challenges, planetary themes, and meaningful patterns, there’s a lot we can explore. It just won’t be the full picture.
If you were born in the U.S., you may be able to retrieve it by ordering a long-form birth certificate from the state you were born in.
Make sure the site you are using is the official state vital records office, and select the version that lists time of birth, not every certificate automatically includes it.
No. Astrology is not therapy, and I am not a licensed mental health professional.
In a session we explore self-awareness, personality patterns, and emotional themes that show up in your chart. I do not diagnose, treat, or replace therapeutic support.
You are welcome to bring your life experience, your questions, and the parts of yourself you are curious about. My role is to reflect what I see, to offer insight, and to help you understand yourself more deeply. I am here to hold space and be present with you, not to advise on or process trauma.
If something tender or difficult comes up, I may gently recommend support from a trained therapist or mental health professional. My intention is for this experience to feel grounding, empowering, and safe.
Your journey of self-discovery starts here.
